WINTER FORMAL 2010!!!


This is one of your 3 MAJOR events of the year! We will be going to the 4* Penta Hotel for a three course meal followed by live music, DJ, and Awards.

Smart Dress only so Tuxedo's or shirt and ties for lads and dresses for ladettes.

We will have live music during the meal followed by a DJ until we finish. 

We will be getting a coach to the venue around 7pm (times not finalised yet)

There will be numerous awards on the night including Best Dressed Male/Female, King/Queen, Best Personality, Most Drunk as well as a few secret awards!


Tickets are £30 for anyone who has paid their JCR fees and £35 for everyone else.

We will be selling tickets in the JCR bar twice this week during the day and twice next week so you can come and choose your food! (I will post times tomorrow)

1. Prawn cocktail 
(braised lemon, horseradish chips)

2. Pressed confit of duck terrine
(toasted ciabatta, orange preserve and seasoned lambs lettuce)

3. Roasted tomato and herb soup
(fried somerset brie and sour cream)

Mains

1. Roast Norfolk Turkey
(pigs in a blanket, honeyed sprouts, parsnip puree butternut squash 
and creme fraiche mash, buttered baby carrots & herbed roast potatoes)

2. salmon en Croute
(wilted spinach, new potatoes, tarragon and chive butter sauce)

3. Wild mushroom & artichoke tart
(rocket and parmesan salad)

4. Slow braised milk fed pork belly
(potato gnocchi, braised red cabbage and wild mushrooms)

Dessert

1. Steamed christmas pudding
(brandy cream)

2. Sherry Trifle 
(amaretto biscuts, toasted almonds)

3. Winter fruit crumble
(Vanilla bean ice cream)
